Sorry, but I just didn't "get" Ivor, despite a couple of introductions to his work.
To be fair, I don't get a huge amount of comedy, and Ivor was no exception. I'd sit there, stoney faced, while Ivor's strange lilting "funny" voice would come out of the speakers, telling some "funny" tale and leaving me cold...

It helps to be Glaswegian. And maybe Jewish. It actually took me a good while to become a fan (a concept that he would almost certainly dislike).
